Health Secretary Steve Barclay has been pressed over his repeated party pledge that the Conservatives will build 40 new hospitals.
Speaking on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Mr Barclay said five brand new buildings will be constructed, but others will be “gutted and fully refurbished”.
