Conservative leadership frontrunner Liz Truss has been questioned over remarks that she made to the Financial Times, in which she pledged tax cuts and not handouts in an effort to tackle the cost of living crisis.
When asked about her policy, she said she wanted to lower taxes so people could keep more of their own money.
