Antonio Conte returns to Tottenham duty and will take today’s press conference before their Champions League decider against AC Milan, after time off following gallbladder surgery

Antonio Conte will take Tottenham‘s pre-match press conference ahead of the club’s Champions League last-16 match with AC Milan after recovering from his gallbladder surgery.

Conte has been absent from the dugout since Tottenham’s 1-0 first leg defeat to Milan on February 14.

The Italian had been advised by doctors to rest having undergone gallbladder surgery earlier that month.

His assistant Cristian Stellini has overseen Tottenham’s four matches since, including successive 2-0 wins over West Ham and Chelsea.

Conte returns will Spurs having suffered successive 1-0 defeats, with the North London side crashing out of the FA Cup to Sheffield United, before losing to Wolves in the Premier League.

The Spurs head coach will be joined by Son Heung-min to preview the second leg with Milan.

Spurs fell to narrow defeat at the San Siro last month with Brahim Diaz scoring the only goal in the first leg.

Conte returned to London on Sunday having been recovering from his surgery in Italy.

The 53-year-old’s return comes amid increased expectation he will leave the club in the summer.
