Rishi Sunak has been asked if he risks sounding like he is in a “parallel universe” about the state of the NHS and economy.
Speaking to the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg, the prime minister said he never said it wouldn’t be a “difficult time” but that he wants to reassure the public he has a plan and that “the plan will work”.
