Arsenal‘s Kai Havertz set a poor mark in one area of the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge that has Chelsea fans mocking their former star forward.

Havertz became the first person in the short history of the event to never score a single point in the cross-then-volley challenge.

As a result of both his poor form – and the struggles Folarin Balogun had – Arsenal lost in that particular event.

While some Arsenal fans were left upset over the poor form of their new talisman, other football fans laughed at their misfortune.

That included Chelsea fans, who were joyful after their club sold him for over $87million this summer.

Chelsea fans mercilessly roasted Havertz – and Arsenal – on Twitter for the poor results

‘We warned you about Havertz, this is only the beginning,’ wrote one Chelsea fan.

Another tagged one of his mates, saying ‘wow we swindled arsenal!’

‘Having watched Havertz for three years, I know he is actually like this, but I really want to tell myself he was intentionally doing those misses because WTF????,’ another Chelsea fan posted.

That fan added, ‘Whoever sold this guy for 60m (pounds) deserves a statue outside the Bridge.’

Another simply said, ‘We dodged a bullet.’

Arsenal fans were split, with some saying that it didn’t really matter and others left concerned with the display.

‘It’s not looking good honestly,’ wrote one Gunners supporter. ‘I’m already getting livid especially after buying him for that amount. Let’s hope he comes good.’

Another Arsenal fan joked, ‘We ordered the wrong Kai Havertz online.’

‘Now I understand why Mikel Arteta said Havertz will be playing in the midfield this season,’ yet another fan wrote.

‘Lesson learned: dont trust havertz in the box,’ another Arsenal fan said.

But other people on Twitter noticed that two things happened that led to this poor result: 1) the quality of crosses was low and 2) this is an All-Star Game.

‘Nah these crosses were horrible, looking at it from this angle,’ an Arsenal fan posted.

Soccer fans also remarked that the crosses were poor and that this is just all in good fun

‘Ur joking people actually expect him to take this s**t seriously,’ another soccer fan posted.

ESPN’s Herculez Gomez tried to bring some perspective into the situation, saying, ‘Champions League Final winning goal. World Cup goals. Eff the memes. Remember that.’

Arsenal will be showing a more complete picture of what they’re capable of on Wednesday night in the MLS All-Star Game.

From there, they move on to play Manchester United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey before wrapping up their preseason USA tour against Barcelona in Los Angeles.
