A cricket fans was seen throwing grapes at Ricky Ponting while live on TV following England’s battle with Australia on Day One of the fifth Test at the Oval.
Australia closed day one of the final Test of the Ashes needing 222 after picking up four runs in the final over and bowling England out for 283.
Chris Woakes helped drag England to that score before he then dismissed David Warner as the Australians took to the bat.
However, it was a frustrating evening for England as that was the only wicket they could take with Australia finishing on 61-1.
Fans were clearly irritated with Ponting’s comments surrounding the events that unfolded at the Oval on Thursday and took actions into their own hands.

They threw grapes at the Australian cricket coach, commentator, and former cricketer while he was live on air.
One of the grapes appeared to hit the 48-year-old – who was visibly annoyed with what had happened.
David Ward tried to make light of the situation and wrapped up the interview by joking about how Ponting had been ‘pelted’ by grapes.
However, the Australian cricket legend – who had a spell at The Oval with Surrey in 2013 – refused to smile and gazed furiously into the crowd.
The 48-year-old expressed his disappointed at the fan who grapes at him and said: ‘I’ve just been hit by a grape. I wouldn’t mind finding out who that was actually.’
