Draymond Green ‘will be an unrestricted free agent after declining $27.5m player option’ as the four-time NBA champ looks set to leave the Golden State Warriors
Draymond Green is seemingly ready to hit the free agent market – and may end his time with the Golden State Warriors.
The four-time NBA champion has only ever played for the San Francisco franchise, but that could all change according to multiple reports citing his agent, Rich Paul.
Green is said to have turned down his $27.5million player option in favor of being an unrestricted free agent.
“We will continue to talk to Golden State and explore all options,” Paul told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The NBA insider said the move enables Green to still engage with the Warriors, and seek potential sign-and-trade deals, as well as the traditional free agency pathway.
