Eddie Hearn says Jermaine Franklin’s weight loss will make him ‘fitter, faster and more agile’ during his bout with Anthony Joshua.
Franklin – trained alongside Tyson Fury before his November 2022 bout with Dillian Whyte – will face AJ at the O2 tomorrow night.
Franklin has weighed in 23lbs lighter than vs Whyte, while Joshua has come in at a career heaviest of 255.4lbs.
Hearn has said Jermaine’s weight loss will make him fitter and faster – claiming Joshua must shut the American down early on Saturday night.
Speaking exclusively to Sportsmail, Hearn said: ‘I don’t know how that’s [Jermaine Franklin’s weight] going to play on his mind.

‘But can Franklin still stand up to the artillery of Anthony Joshua? Jermaine will move better, he will be fitter, he will be faster.
‘They’re all things you never want to hear, but of course he’s going to raise his game against anthony Joshua.
‘This is the opportunity of his career. He has a lot of confidence after the Dillian Whyte fight.
‘If AJ lets him get confident in this fight, it’s going to be a very tough fight. He needs to impose himself early.’
Hearn finished by saying: ‘I expect the very best Jermaine Franklin tomorrow night.’
