Travis Head breathed a sigh of relief after his failed catch went unpunished in the first Ashes Test.
Harry Brook, having smashed Scott Boland for four the previous ball, skied the following delivery into Head’s direction.
Sprinting from the boundary, the batter leapt forward and got both hands on the ball, but somehow let the cherry slip from his hand in agonising scenes for the tourists.
But tears soon turned to cheers as Brook was sent packing in bizarre fashion.
Facing Nathan Lyon, the ball clipped his thigh pad, looped into the air and crashed into the stumps.

The Aussies jubilantly celebrated the unfortunate sequence of events for Brook.
But things went from bad to worse for England as captain Ben Stokes was dismissed for just one run after edging a Josh Hazlewood delivery through to Alex Carey.
