The Hawks erased a 13-point fourth quarter deficit to keep their playoff hopes alive on Tuesday, beating the Celtics 119-117 after a late surge.

Atlanta trailed 102-89 with 9:32 left in the contest, but later ripped off a 15-2 run to tie the game and eventually win it.

With the Hawks down by one with 7.1 seconds left, Trae Young nailed a 30-foot three-pointer to hand Atlanta a lead they wouldn’t give up.

Jayson Tatum was able to get off a tough three-point attempt on the other end after a Celtics timeout but it fell short, with Boston having to wait at least one more game to book a spot in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Young led all scorers with 38 points, while Jaylen Brown’s 35 were not enough for the Celtics.

Derrick White also had 18.

The Hawks were without starting guard Dejounte Murray, who was suspended for Game 5 after making contact with an official after the team’s Game 4 loss.

Boston still leads the series 3-2 and will have two more chances to move on to a possible series with the Sixers, who swept the Nets in the first round.

However, the extended series is advantageous for Philly, as their injured star Joel Embiid will now have at least two more days to rest his sprained knee.
