Bam Adebayo had busy night Friday, and it didn’t stop after moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
As is customary, Adebayo was partaking in his postgame press conference until his mother interrupted.
After his phone began to ring, Adebayo stopped discussing Jalen Brunson and told reporters to ‘hold up’ before taking the call.
‘I have a lot of respect for Jalen and it’s not just… hold up,’ Adebayo said. ‘Hi mommy… I’m in media.’

Adebayo and his mom spoke for 25 seconds before she let him return to his obligations.
Amusingly distracted, Adebayo then asked the reporter to clarify his initial question; ‘Sorry, what’d you say?’
