The fourth Test of the Ashes between England and Australia will get underway this morning.

The hosts will be looking to level the series after their third Test win. Chris Woakes and Mark Wood completed a nervy chase of 251 on the final day.

This year’s Ashes will be the 73rd edition, with Australia the most successful out of the two sides with 34 victories, while England have won 32.

England’s last win on home turf in the Ashes came back in 2015, where they secured a 3-2 series win.

When is the fourth Test?

The fourth Test of this year’s Ashes will get underway at Old Trafford today at 11am.

Each test match is scheduled to get underway at 11am BST (8pm AEST/ 7.30pm ACST/ 6pm AWST).

Play is scheduled to last until 6pm BST, but can go on till 6.30pm if there are no breaks in play.

Lunch will commence at 1pm BST (10pm AEST/ 9.30pm ACST/ 8pm AWST) and will last 40 minutes, while tea in each test match will start at 3.40pm BST and will go on for 20 minutes.

Schedule

Day One of the fourth Test will get underway this morning, with England hoping to level the series.

It is expected to draw to a close on Sunday, July 23.

The final Test is scheduled to start on Thursday, July 27 and conclude on the following Monday.

The remaining schedule for this year’s Ashes is as follows:

  • Fourth Test (Emirates Old Trafford) – Wednesday, July 19 – Sunday, July 23 (11am start)
  • Fifth Test (The Kia Oval) – Thursday July 27 – Monday, July 31 (11am start)

How to watch

This year’s Ashes will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Cricket, with coverage due to get underway at 10am BST.

Fans will also be able to stream the action on the official Sky Go app.

BBC will show live highlights on BBC 2 at 7pm after each day’s play.

For those watching in Australia, Channel 9 will broadcast all the action. Fans will also be able to stream matches online via 9Now.

Fox Cricket will also be showing live coverage of the Ashes. A monthly subscription for Australian fans costs $74.

Kayo Sports is another way in which Australian fans can watch the action. The streaming service costs customers £25 a month.
