Investec boosts rate on its 90-day notice savings account to 3.55%

Investec has boosted the rate on its 90-day notice savings account to 3.55 per cent, taking it to the top of the best-buy tables.

Notice accounts act as a halfway house between an easy-access account and a fixed-rate bond. 

This is because you can make unlimited withdrawals, but only after a pre-specified notice period.

As such, rates tend to sit between the top easy-access rate, currently 3.06 per cent from Shawbrook Bank and the top one-year fix — that is the new launch from Atom Bank at 4.2 per cent.

Savers can withdraw as much as they like from this account but only 90 days after making a request. 

The next best rates for notice accounts are 3.5 per cent_ from Allica on 95-days’ notice and 3.4 per cent from Stafford Railway BS, with a 90-day term, while OakNorth offers 3.35 per cent on its 120-day account and 3.2 per cent on 90 days.
