Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams had a career year in 2022 and believes he’s entitled to more money moving forward.

The fourth-year pro accrued 12 sacks and 12 tackles for loss this season, earning a Pro Bowl nod for the first time and providing a massive bright spark in New York amid a six-game losing streak to end the year.

And while Williams  is due to make $9.6 million next season, he wants a new, more lucrative deal tacked on – and won’t participate in the voluntary portion of the offseason program if he doesn’t have one by then.

‘Everybody knows I’m a team guy, man,’ Williams told reporters Monday.

‘But I do want to get a contract done before the offseason program. I do feel like I deserve to get a contract done before the offseason program just because I did everything right on the field and everything right off the field.

‘Having the organization behind me just like I’m behind them to show that they really support me is a major thing for me.’

He added, ‘I just wanna be compensated for what I am.’

Drafted third overall in the 2019 draft, Williams has steadily become one of the leaders of the Jets’ defense.

He started a career-high 16 games this season as New York ended the regular season as the fourth-stoutest scoring unit, allowing just 18.6 points per game.

And while Williams has yet to make the postseason with the Jets, he’ll surely be part of the reason they do if he sticks around long term.

The Jets’ seven wins in 2022 were their joint-highest mark in the last seven seasons.
