Jimmy Garoppolo is set to be introduced by the Las Vegas Raiders today

Jimmy Garoppolo is set to finally be introduced as a Las Vegas Raiders player on Friday after his scheduled Thursday press conference was weirdly scrapped.

After a Super Bowl appearance across six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, the quarterback is heading to Vegas in a move that sees him reunite with Josh McDaniels.

The 31-year-old was due to complete his move and be unveiled as a Raider on Thursday but the press conference did not go ahead as planned.

The media responsibility was postponed and pushed back to Friday with no explanation given, according to The Athletic.

The formalities were supposed to take place at 12pm PT Thursday but after a 2.5 hour wait nothing materialized. Dailymail.com has reached out to the team for comment.

The Raiders did share a video of Garoppolo and McDaniels embracing as they reunited at the team facility on Thursday, however.

The franchise did show off the rest of their free agent acquisitions on Thursday.

The deal is for three years with a base value of $72.75million, per Tom Pelissero, including $24.25m in the first year. 

The contract reportedly includes a $11.25m signing bonus and an $11.25m salary for year one and a $11.25m roster bonus and an $11.25m salary for the second year, meaning he is effectively locked in as Las Vegas’ starter for two years and $48.5m. 

He reportedly is also set to earn a $22.5m salary in 2025 and has $1.53m in per-game roster bonuses, $220,000 in workout bonuses each year and $1.5m in incentives each year.
