Wales boss Robert Page has admitted that defender Joe Rodon may need to leave Tottenham next month due to his lack of game time.
Centre back Rodon, 24, has played just one game under Antonio Conte so far, and looks set for an equally frustrating second half of the season.
As a result, it has been reported by The Sun that he is keen for more first-team football – with both Newcastle and Brighton credited with an interest.

Page hinted Rodon must leave because he wants his ‘best players playing week in, week out’
And Page, Rodon’s manager on the international scene, has conceded it may be more beneficial for the former Swansea man to move on in search of minutes.
‘Joe is an unbelievable talent and rightly so got a move to a big Premier League club in Tottenham,’ Page said.
‘But now he understands he might have to move on and play games of football because we want our best players playing week in, week out.

‘Then when they turn up and play against the Belgiums of this world, if they are playing in the Premier League week in, week out then it’s not a culture for them.
‘They are used to the standard and the movement of [Romelu] Lukaku or the physicality and demands that top class football brings. That’s where we want our players.’
Rodon arrived in north London for a fee of £11million in October 2020, but has quickly tumbled down the pecking order after Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo.

Indeed, he has played just six games this season, and featured 14 times across all competitions in the previous campaign.
The Telegraph have also claimed that Rodon is a target for Newcastle, with the outlet going as far as saying that the St James’ Park outfit are ‘leading’ the chase.
Boss Eddie Howe is unsurprisingly keen to improve his defence over the winter window, and Rodon has emerged as a player he has earmarked to do just that.
It is said that Spurs would be willing to let Rodon leave on a short-term loan deal.
