Alex Telles has left Manchester United to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, the Red Devils have confirmed.
The Brazilian left-back joined Man United for £13.6m in October 2020, moving from Porto, but spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Sevilla after struggling to break into the first-team at Old Trafford.
Man United shared the news on Twitter on Sunday morning, writing: ‘A new adventure beckons for @AT13Oficial. Thank you for everything and good luck, Alex.’
Telles made 50 first-team appearances for the Premier League side, competing with Luke Shaw at the left-back position.
His only goal for Man United came in the 2-1 Champions League win over Villarreal in September 2021.
Manchester United have confirmed that Alex Telles has left the club to join Al-Nassr
Telles will reunite with his former Man United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia
Last season, he joined LaLiga side Sevilla on loan, where he won the Europa League trophy with the Spanish side.
Telles follows in the footsteps of former Red Devils teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr after his own exit from Man United last year.
Mail Sport previously reported on fears that the deal had fallen through, but these proved to be unfounded.
The Brazilian left-back previously played for Porto before joining Man United in October 2020
The left-back agreed personal terms of £7m-a-year with his new Saudi Pro League side.
Benfica were also thought to be in the hunt to sign Telles, a move that the former Porto player dismissed due to his ‘legacy’ with the rival club.
Instead, he joins the Saudi Pro League, following a flood of players trading European clubs for the Middle East including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy.
Manchester United are in a state of flux this season, with Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones also exiting Old Trafford this summer, while Mason Mount and Andre Onana have joined their ranks following big-money deals.
