Manchester United fans have been imploring their club to make Victor Osimhen their ‘top priority’ after the Napoli forward scored a stunning volley against Roma on Sunday.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from inside the box after controlling the ball with his head and knee.
Luciano Spalletti’s side went on to win the game 2-1 after a dramatic late winner from Giovanni Simeone, taking them 13 points clear at the top of Serie A.

‘He should be our number one priority this summer by a country mile,’ tweeted one United fan eager to see the Nigeria international at Old Trafford.
Another called his finish ‘deadly’ and compared the striker to Red Devils legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Others said Osimhen was an example of ‘why I want this guy’ to become a United player.

It comes amid a sparkling run of form for Osimhen, who has now scored 14 goals in just 16 Serie A appearances this season, taking his tally since joining Napoli in 2020 to 43 goals in 82 games.
If they can keep up their current form, Spalletti’s men could win their first Scudetto in over 30 years.
It would be just the third in their history, and the first without Diego Maradona in the side.
Despite there being 18 games left to play in Serie A, Jose Mourinho seemed confident Napoli would win the title, as the Roma boss said last week: ‘I hope not to be misinterpreted but congratulations to Napoli on the Scudetto. They’ve won it. It’s theirs.’
‘Because of the inconsistency of Inter and AC Milan, and because you sense there’s no other team that can go on a six, seven or eight-game winning run, the title is theirs.
