Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly prepared to offer Romelu Lukaku the chance to revive his Chelsea career if the Argentinian takes over at Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku was discarded to spend the season on-loan at Inter Milan by previous Chelsea boss and now Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel after a torrid one-season in London.
But Lukaku will reportedly be given a second chance to show he can be the man to lead Chelsea’s attack by Pochettino, as reported by The Telegraph.
The Blues have been trying to work out what to do with the Belgian since he was re-signed for £97million in 2021.
Inter Milan have decided they will not pursue a permanent deal for Lukaku once his loan expires at the end of the season, meaning Chelsea need to find a solution to the striker’s future.

They will reportedly hold talks with Lukaku over his position at the club at the end of the season with a new permanent manager expected to be appointed soon following Graham Potter’s dismissal.
The 29-year-old may want to explore all available options and could rule out another chance in north London in favour of securing a move abroad.
He has largely failed to impress at the San Siro this season, scoring just nine goals in 26 appearances across all competitions.
However, Lukaku could end the campaign with a Champions League winners medal to show for his efforts with Inter braced for a European semi-final clash with cross-city rivals AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in negotiations with Pochettino over making him their new permanent manager.
The former Spurs boss has held talks with club officials in recent days over taking the managerial vacancy but it’s yet to be seen whether he will take charge before the end of the season.
Chelsea have endured a torrid debut campaign under new American co-owner Todd Boehly who has splashed out over £600million since his summer buyout.
The Blues are languishing in 11th place of the Premier League standings and will end the season without any silverware.
