Max Verstappen wins the British Grand Prix and his sixth race in a row after surviving early scare from Lando Norris, with Brit holding off Lewis Hamilton to claim second

Max Verstappen won his sixth Formula One face in a row at Silverstone but it didn’t come without a scare from home favourite Lando Norris.
Norris, after qualifying second on Saturday, took Verstappen off the line to send the home crowd wild but the world champion took just a few laps to take the place back.
A safety car caused chaos just after 30 laps when Kevin Magnussen retiring, as Lewis Hamilton put on soft tyres and Norris hards, leaving the latter angry with his team for the tyre selection.
The two battled for the rest of the race and spent much of the time wheel-to-wheel, but Norris defended well to ensure he took second.
The third Brit on the grid, George Russell, pushed Oscar Piastri but came fifth in the race.
