The former PM has paid tribute to the first woman Speaker of the Commons, who has died aged 93.
Theresa May spoke of Betty Boothroyd’s “humanity”, her humour, gentle put-downs and rebukes in the chamber.
Mrs May said it was a privilege to have known the former Tiller Girl and an honour to have served under her in the Commons.
