PSV Eindhoven star Xavi Simons has been linked with a reported move to Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Simons has enjoyed a stellar debut year at the Dutch club after joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the club and has quickly garnered a reputation as one of Europe’s rising stars.
Simons could find himself moved on just a year later with Premier League giants Arsenal a possible destination, according to former Eindhoven manager Aad de Mos.
The midfielder has reportedly recently changed agents and is now being advised on new career moves by English pair Darren Dein and Stuart Peters.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could pursue a summer move for the midfield star
De Mos states that the agency duo have solid connections at the Emirates and Simons’ move to new representation could be in favour of completing a switch to join Mikel Arteta’s side.
He explained: ‘His agent change indicates that he is searching [for a new club].
‘Maybe he’s thinking about Arsenal. His new agents have a lot of contacts there.’
Simons was part of the PSV side that helped eliminate Arsenal from this season’s Europa League competition and also starred in their recent cup win over Ajax.
The attacking midfielder could also return to PSG, with the Ligue 1 super-spenders inserting a £10milllion buy-back option in the deal that saw Simons move to PSV.

That fee would be a staggering contrast to the £41m figure Simons is valued at by CIES and could be the difference in Arsenal making a move for the upcoming talent.
Simons has enjoyed a rapid rise to stardom this season, with a bumper Adidas contract matched by millions of social media followers keeping tabs on his career progression.
PSV have attempted to keep their prized asset grounded and a video emerging earlier in the season showed Simons having to wash his team-mates boots after a training session.
Should Simons move to Arsenal then he would become PSV’s second marquee departure in less than 12 months after Cody Gakpo joined Liverpool in January.
