Sir Bob Geldof was a surprise guest at AAMI Park on Saturday night and he did not leave disappointed as Melbourne Storm defeated Manly.
The music icon and humanitarian, 71, is in Melbourne to help launch new radio station Disrupt Radio – which launches on June 26.
He will take to the airwaves with Libbi Gorr to co-host Disrupt Radio’s Enterprise Breakfast Show.
But before Monday’s launch, Geldof headed to AAMI Park to watch NRL side Melbourne Storm bag their third win on the bounce with victory over the Sea Eagles.
The Irishman wore a purple and yellow scarf – the colours of the rugby league club – with a brown cap and blue coat.
Xavier Coates displayed his athleticism to score an incredible try to cap off a remarkable week having also played a part in Queensland’s win over NSW in State of Origin Game II.
