Patrick Mahomes has given his seal of approval to viral footage of a social media star gifting Super Bowl tickets to a U.S. Veteran who was once shot in the head, just a day before the big game in Glendale, Arizona

In the video, Zach Dereniowski approached a 62-year-old Navy vet’, who goes by the name ‘Warren’, at a parking lot nearby a grocery store to talk about his Super Bowl LVII plans, 24 hours before gametime on Saturday.

Revealing that he’s been a life-long football fan, Warren tells Zach that he wishes he had enough money to go see Sunday’s big game at State Farm Stadium.

That’s when Zach thanked Warren for his 21 years of service by surprising him with free tickets to the Kansas City Chief-Philadelphia Eagles match up.

And the Navy veteran couldn’t believe it, himself.

‘Oh my God,’ Warren said, before screaming: ‘I’m going to the game! Oh my God!! Oh, man!! I’m crying!’

Zach also provided Warren with $1,000 in cash so that he can also enjoy himself at America’s biggest sporting event. However, Warren had other ideas as to what he’s going to do with that money.

‘I’m going to keep 200,’ the vet said, adding: ‘And the rest is going to my mother, man.’

The video then shows Warren sporting a Mahomes jersey while being among the other 67,826 football fans who got to see the Chiefs quarterback in action at the Arizona Cardinals’ home stadium in Arizona.

At one point, the Navy vet can be heard saying that he’ll ‘never, ever, ever, EVER forget’ the experience of seeing a Super Bowl game in person.

And after the thrilling 38-35 Chiefs win, Mahomes, himself, who’s now a two-time Super Bowl champion, shared Zach’s video to his followers on Twitter.

‘This is what it’s all about man!’ the 27-year-old commented.

He also shared a family snap at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where he and his wife revealed their newborn son’s face for the very first time since his birth in November.

Meanwhile, Zach is an Instagram celebrity who boosts more than 2.7million followers on the social media platform.

Once a medical student at the University of Sydney, his message is to ‘spread kindness’ and to surprise people with random acts.
