Stunning footage from Conor McGregor‘s new Netflix documentary shows the UFC superstar heartbroken in the locker room after his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

Remembered as one of the most controversial nights in MMA history, Nurmagomedov and McGregor met in Las Vegas in October 2018 to settle their bitter feud after months of trading insults.

However, the 155-pound champion did his talking in the octagon, putting in a dominant display to earn a stoppage victory in the fourth round after McGregor tapped out to a neck crank.

‘The Eagle’ wasn’t done fighting, though, and a mass brawl broke out when he jumped over the cage to confront Dillon Danis, McGregor’s team-mate while a number of the Dagestani’s own entourage leapt into the cage to attack McGregor.

Footage from McGregor’s Netflix docuseries, McGregor Forever, finally lifts the lid on what happened once the dust had settled and ‘Notorious’ got back to the locker room.

In the clip, the emotional Irishman’s usual swagger is nowhere to be seen as he sits down and is embraced by long-time coach John Kavanagh.

The UFC poster boy looks to be on the verge of tears as he takes in the crushing loss to his heated rival.

Moments later, UFC president Dana White can be seen walking into the locker room to talk to McGregor.

‘Are you alright?’ says White.

‘I mean, after the shots you took when the kid jumped in.’

McGregor tells his boss that the post-fight melee isn’t what’s on his mind.

‘I don’t give a f**k about that. I don’t give a b*****es about that, that was handbags.’

The UFC boss appears shocks about the chaos that unfolded after the fight finished.

‘I didn’t see Khabib jumping over. I didn’t see that coming,’ said White.

McGregor tells White: ‘Who cares about that? That was handbags. I was beat, and that’s that. I was beat where it mattered, and that’s it. End of. Who cares about any of the other s**t?’

Nurmagomedov retired undefeated from the sport in 2020 without ever taking on McGregor in a rematch.

The pair’s heated rivalry remains to this day, with the fighters taking regular digs at each other and their accomplishments.

Just last month, Nurmagomedov listed his top 15 MMA fighter of all time and the Irish former two-division champion didn’t get a mention despite being the sport’s biggest star when he became the first two-division world champion at the peak of his powers.

The McGregor Forever four-part docuseries is now featuring on Netflix.
