New York Jets and Aaron Rodgers ‘selected to star in Hard Knocks despite making it clear to league that they DID NOT want to participate’

The Jets have been selected by the NFL and NFL Films to be on ‘Hard Knocks’ this year, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The show, which has aired on HBO (now Max) since 2001, follows a team around during training camp and the preseason, offering fans a behind the scenes look at one of the NFL’s 32 franchises.

If a team does not have a first-year head coach in place, hasn’t made the playoffs in the last two seasons and hasn’t appeared on the show in the past 10 years, it is eligible to be selected.

New York, according to ProFootballTalk, made it extremely clear to the league that it didn’t wish to participate as it begins the Aaron Rodgers era, but will now have a camera crew following it around starting next week.
