Russell Wilson has somehow avoided a serious injury after reportedly driving his golf cart straight into a bunker and flipping it upside down at the weekend.
The Denver Broncos quarterback, already a figure of fun among many NFL fans, was said to be playing a round at Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Colorado with friends when the remarkable incident occurred.
As reported by 104.3 The Fan’s Matt Smith on Twitter, and confirmed by sources close to Wilson, the crash happened at the weekend and thankfully nobody was hurt.
A since-deleted photograph then emerged on Reddit, which appeared to show some golfers crowding round an overturned golf cart in a fairway bunker.
It is currently unclear how the incident happened, and the nine-time Pro Bowler is yet to comment publicly on what happened.

Wilson, who is married to singer Ciara, is famous for his ‘Let’s Ride’ catchphrase, but he may decide to keep his feet on the ground for the foreseeable future, with off-season workouts starting imminently.
Wilson had his first season in Denver in 2022, after nine seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
His first year with the Broncos saw him go 4-11, and he was sacked more than any other quarterback in the NFL.
Another factor that would have made coaches wince when they heard about Wilson’s injury was the fact that he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee during the off-season.
He is expected to be fully fit in time for OTAs, but the 34-year-old is lucky to have avoided injury in a rare – and unusual – incident on the golf course.
