PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi ‘is personally pushing to sign Harry Kane regardless of who replaces Christophe Galtier as boss’… with Real Madrid and Man United priced out of a move for £100m-rated Tottenham star

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly pushing to sign Harry Kane this summer.

The 29-year-old is entering the final year on his current Tottenham deal and has been subject of interest from many of Europe’s elite clubs.

Kane, who turns 30 next month, has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid but the huge fee being demanded by Tottenham – combined with the complications of negotiating with Spurs chief Daniel Levy – have seen both clubs priced out of a move.

This has led PSG to follow up on their prior interest in Kane, after they made the England striker their ‘priority’ target this summer.

And according to Le Parisien, Al-Khelaifi is personally pushing to sign Kane this summer regardless of who succeeds Christophe Galtier as manager.

Reports suggest that Luis Enrique is set to become the new manager of PSG after talks with Julian Nagelsmann broke down.

However, while Enrique will have his own ideas of who he wants to bring in, Al-Khelaifi will push for his own targets internally – with Kane being his top priority.

The report from Le Parisien goes on to claim that PSG were also targeting a big-money move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen but the former Lille man isn’t keen on a return to Ligue 1.

It is unclear whether Kane will be keen to leave the Premier League stuck on 213 goals, with Alan Shearer’s long-standing record (260) well within his reach, although PSG would be a solid option in terms of finally breaking his trophy duck.

Real Madrid announced they would be making no further signings after announcing striker Joselu on Monday, with the Spanish giants raising funds to afford a move for PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe next summer.
