Birthday boy Lydnon Dykes scored twice as QPR beat Reading 2-1 at Loftus Road to leapfrog their opponents into third in the Championship table.
Andy Carroll had opened the scoring in the 30th minute for the visitors through a penalty after Lucas Joao was brought down.
QPR equalised through Dykes after he nodded home a pinpoint cross from Osman Kakay, before he secured all three points from the spot late on when midfielder Tim Iroegbunam was fouled.
