Celtic and Rangers will be made to wait just four games before they lock horns again in the first Old Firm of the 2023-24 Scottish Premiership season.
The two fierce rivals were separated by seven points in the last campaign, with Celtic once again topping the table in what proved to be Ange Postecoglou‘s swansong.
Now with Brendan Rodgers back in charge for his second spell, the champions will begin their title defence at home to Ross County on the opening weekend.
They will then travel to Aberdeen, who finished third last season and secured a spot in the Europa League play-offs, and later host St Johnstone in their third game.
Shortly after, on September 3, Celtic will take on Rangers at Ibrox. Intriguingly, the first derby of the previous campaign had been held on the same date.

Celtic’s fifth match is against Dundee at Parkhead, and Rodgers will be desperate to earn victories in each of them in order to kickstart his return in superb fashion.

Livingston v Aberdeen
St Johnstone v Hearts

Celtic are up first with their opener live on Sky Sports with a 12:30pm kick-off.
Rangers, keen to break up their enemy’s dominance, will then follow them with Michael Boyle’s side making a trip to Kilmarnock, a game set for broadcast at 5:15pm.
In the second week of the season, Rangers will welcome Livingston in their first home game at Ibrox before they travel to Ross County on August 28.
After the first Old Firm of the campaign, Rangers then play St Johnstone.
Elsewhere, high-flying Aberdeen will begin their season with a visit to Livingston before they host Celtic in week two. After, they travel to St Mirren.
Hearts, meanwhile, face St Johnstone away in their campaign opener. Then, in search of a strong start, they will play Kilmarnock at home and travel to Dundee.
The traditional Old Firm held around the holiday period will take place on December 30 this year, with the lunchtime showdown at Parkhead to be shown by Sky Sports.
The third derby fixture is pencilled in for the penultimate game of the campaign, with Celtic again travelling to Rangers on April 6 for a 3pm kick-off.

Dundee, the only newcomer this season, face Motherwell in their first league game.
As well as retain the Scottish title, Rodgers is hoping to regain the support of Celtic fans after returning to the club this summer.
He drew criticism from the Hoops faithful after leaving abruptly to join Leicester in 2019, and fully understands why supporters felt the way they did at the time.
‘Listen, I understand how supporters would feel,’ he said in his unveiling press conference last week.
‘It was an emotional time, the club was going for 10 in a row and there was a lot of emotion around.
‘For the people I’ve had lots of support from since I left and now that I’ve come back, I really thank them for that. And for the people that maybe don’t want me here, hopefully I can shift their opinion with the football we play and the success we can have.’
