Shaq Barrett’s two-year-old daughter drowns in their home swimming pool

The daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker Shaq Barrett has died after drowning in a swimming pool at home.

The team issued a statement on Sunday evening after the tragic news of Arrayah’s death at the age of two.

Cops responded to a call of a child who had fallen into a pool at around 9.30am in Tampa’s Beach Park area, Florida, Sunday, according to Tampa Police Department.

Arrayah Barrett was taken to the hospital but attempts to save her life were unsuccessful. 

An investigation is underway but Arrayah’s death is not believed to be suspicious, police reported.

Arrayah was the youngest of four children Barrett has with wife Jordanna (pictured in April 2022)

Barrett is an outside linebacker for Tampa Bay and has been playing with the team since 2019

‘Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family,’ the Bucs statement read.

The NFL world sent love, prayers and condolences to Barrett and his family on social media

‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time.

‘While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.’ 

Arrayah was the youngest of four children Barrett, 30, who has been playing with the Bucs since 2019, has with wife Jordanna.

The couple met at high school and share Shaquil Jr., Braylon and Aaliyah.
