Six-year-old footy giant smashes through the opposition as his dad sends a message to parents who complain about his boy

A video has gone viral of a giant six-year-old boy absolutely dominating his opponents on the footy field – and his dad wants other parents to stop complaining and teach their kids how to tackle.

Footage of the youngster’s play posted to social media on Monday has been viewed more than three million times and it’s easy to see why – this is no ordinary six-year-old.

The boy, only known as ‘Fou’, can be seen wreaking havoc as he runs through defenders who appear to be half his size.

Fou’s dad, who posted the clips to his TikTok account, isn’t apologising for his big boy, who he says is the same age as all the other players on the field.

‘This is the kid most parents don’t want their son playing against,’ he captioned the clip. 

‘Instead of complaining about my son, give credit to yours for having a go. He’s 6 years old.’

Fou can be seen demolishing much smaller defenders as he runs down the field 

In another similar video of Fou steamrolling much smaller defenders, he further explained his views on the matter.

‘I’m not trying to put any other kid/player down, but instead, I applaud their efforts on the field alongside and against my son,’ he wrote.

‘Kids will be kids but I refuse to let any idiot talk down my son because of his age and size. If you don’t like the way my son plays footy, do something about it like educating our kids to tackle other than being a ‘expert’ on social media.

‘We don’t tell the faster kids to slow down for the slower kids, so why tell the big kids to take it easy on the little kids? This is a contact sport. Don’t like it? Put your kids in cricket or try netball.’

The video has sparked debate, with some viewers believing Fou should be playing against bigger kids. 

‘Wouldn’t it be better for the big kid to play up a grade or 2 anyway?’ said one user.

‘Do they not do by weight not age? my son played 2 age groups up cuz of his size,’ replied a parent.

Other social media users said it was part and parcel of playing a contact sport and that the opponents need to learn to tackle.

‘I blame the other teams coach for not teaching them to tackle the legs first,’ said one person.

‘My first thought watching this, get the legs and they go down and less chance of being pushed away. Bigger they are harder the fall,’ replied another.

Other people who watched the video online found the spectacle hilarious.
