The Labour leader called on Rishi Sunak to freeze council tax in line with the opposition’s policy rather than “ignore the message” he was given in last week’s local elections.
The prime minister said Labour councils have higher bills than in Tory areas, and his party was getting on with helping people with their cost of living.
