Steve McManaman described his shock at Vinicius Jr’s opener in Real Madrid‘s Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.
After a tense opening half an hour at the Bernabeu, the Brazilian lit up the Champions League tie with thunderous effort from the edge of the box that gave Ederson no chance in the Manchester City goal.
The 21-year-old’s effort seemed to even surprise his teammates, and watching from his co-commentary position former Madrid star McManaman shared in the disbelief in the quality of the strike.
‘I didn’t know a man his size could hit it that hard!’ stated McManaman as Vinicius shot rifled into the back of the net.
