Super agent Mino Raiola ‘undergoes emergency surgery’ in Italy

Football super agent Mino Raiola has undergone emergency surgery after being admitted to hospital in Italy.  

The 54-year-old, who represents some of football’s top stars, including Paul Pogba and Erling Haaland, went under the knife in Milan and is under observation.  

According to Ansa and ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’, Raiola was hospitalized at San Raffaele underwent a very delicate surgery. 

News of his hospitalization came as a shock to his players and arrived without warning.

The nature of his illness or surgery is not yet known but he is anticipated to remain in hospital for the time being.  

The likes of Pogba, Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mathijs De Ligt will no doubt be sending their well wishes to the man who has built a reputation as one of the world’s foremost agents.  

Raiola, who was raised in Holland after his family moved from Italy, has risen to the top of his field and negotiates multi-million pound deals on behalf of his stable of superstars.  

The January transfer window is an incredibly busy time but he will have to put a halt to his work after an apparently serious deterioration in health.
