Philadelphia Eagles fans headed to the Linc in their droves Sunday to send their players off to Arizona, one week out from Super Bowl LVII.

The Eagles are going to the season finale for the first time in five years, having won Super Bowl LII in 2018, and the excitement in palpable in Philly.

Fans were invited to Lincoln Financial Field early on Sunday morning for a short ceremony to wish the players well, before they headed to the airport to catch their flight to Arizona immediately after.

Thousands queued from the small hours of the morning to get into the stadium, where they were met with Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Philly captains, as well as head coach Nick Sirianni.

Fans cheered for their heroes and sung the team’s Fly Eagles Fly anthem, a week on from them winning the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers – on the very same turf.

Hurts wore a green Eagles jacket and shook hands with fans in the front row, before the countdown begins to the team’s biggest game in years.

The Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the NFL’s Cardinals.

A huge week of media appearances await the players, as they head to the desert for the full build-up to the biggest week of their careers.

At Sunday’s event, Sirianni had a few words for the crowd, urging them to be loud and proud in Arizona, as well as thanking them for their support all year.

He proceeded to lead the fans in a chant, before the players all headed off-stage and straight to their plane, destination Arizona.
