The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-95 in what amounted to a blow out to advance to the NBA playoffs as the No. 8 seed. They will face off with the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.
It will be the second time in the last three years that the Timberwolves have made the playoffs under head coach Chris Finch.
Minesota benefitted greatly from the return of star center Rudy Gobert who recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, following his one-game suspension after a midgame altercation with Kyle Anderson.
Karl-Anthony Towns led the way for the Timberwolves with a 28 point and 11 rebound double-double.
The Minnesota Timberwolves advanced to the playoffs and face the Denver Nuggets on Sun.
