Tom Brady‘s days of looking down at his children are nearing an end.

The retired 6-foot-4 quarterback posted a side-by-side shot of himself and his eldest son, 15-year-old Jack, who appears to be only a few inches shorter than his father.

‘Not Yet Kid!!!’ the 45-year-old Brady captioned his Instagram post. ‘I’m still here.’

Jack is Brady’s only with former flame, actress Bridget Moynahan, but he also has two children with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen: a 10-year-old daughter, Vivian Lake, and 13-year-old son Benjamin Rein.

Brady’s eldest has followed him into football, although not at the urging of the future Hall of Famer.

As Brady told ESPN’s Outside the Lines last week, he hopes Jack finds happiness away from the game, which naturally comes with some oversized expectations when your father is a seven-time Super Bowl winner.

‘I hope he finds the things in his life that allow him to get up every day to be internally motivated to work hard at something that he loves to do,’ Brady said . ‘I don’t think football. Look, a lot of it I wouldn’t choose for him to do that because there’s too many crazy expectations that people would put on him.

‘Most of them probably very unfair actually. So whatever path he chooses in his life, my son Benny, my daughter Vivi, whatever they choose, I’m there to support them.’

In October, Brady told his SiriusXM co-host Jim Gray that he takes great pleasure in watching Jack play.

‘I think one of the great highlights of my life is watching him play and him grow and develop, and my kids in general, too,’ Brady said. ‘So I love watching him kind of dig deep and especially [play] team sports.’

As a freshman, Jack played free safety on defense, but was under center on offense, which has naturally pleased his quarterback father.

‘I think there’s very few things in life that I could probably help him with. You know, I don’t have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing the football,’ Brady shares. ‘He’s way smarter. He’s got a great work ethic. He’s just a great kid. But I can definitely help him at quarterback.

‘So getting out there and watching him play has been so much fun for me,’ Brady added. ‘And I don’t give a s*** how well he does. I just love watching him and seeing him enjoy it with his friends. And, you know, the camaraderie at a young age.’

‘I remember being in high school myself, I loved being out there with my teammates, having pancake breakfasts on Saturdays. He has meals on Friday nights with his teammates and it brings out the best parts of us. So it’s really a treat, as all parents know, watching their kids play.’

Although Brady admitted he ‘never imagined’ Jack, a soon-to-be high school sophomore, would play football, he did refer to him as a ‘grinder’ and a ‘very good athlete.’

‘[He has] great hand-eye coordination. He actually moves better than I did at his age,’ admitted the famously slow Brady.
