The UK government’s plans to rewrite the protocol part of the post-Brexit deal with the EU are “within international law”, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has said.
The government’s priority was to restore the Belfast Good Friday Agreement and power sharing in Northern Ireland, she added.
The minister also said the protocol was causing “very severe problems” in Northern Ireland on trade and tax.
