Tyson Fury‘s wife believes he is ‘itching for another fight’ and is not serious about retiring from professional boxing.

The Gypsy King revealed on Good Morning Britain he would only consider returning to the ring against Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed world title bout if he was offered £500million.

In a video posted on Twitter earlier this week, the WBC champion again claimed to be retired despite announcing on Tuesday that he would not be hanging up his gloves just yet.

And wife Paris – who wanted him to retire after he defended his WBC belt against Deontay Wilder in October – is also dubious about how long he will stay away from the ring, but harbours hopes he has retired for good.

‘I’d like him to retire,’ Paris told Piers Morgan on his Talk TV show on Wednesday night.

‘But there’s something in the back of my mind saying he’s itching for another fight. It’s there – woman’s instinct, there’s something still calling him out there.

‘As the wife, I just look and wonder ‘are you done?’ I hope he is. I hope he chooses another path but honestly, I think there is a question mark there.’

Fury remains undefeated in his 33 professional fights to date but has not always had it his own way, having been sent crashing to the canvas in his first fight with Wilder in 2018.

And Paris revealed she asked her husband to stop fighting after the stalemate in Los Angeles, but added his desire to fight again means she is left with doubts about how serious he is about stepping away this time.

‘After the first fight with Deontay Wilder I begged him not to fight again,’ she added.

‘And then he fought again and now he’s saying he’s quit again. I just don’t think it’s the end. I just wonder. You never know, we’ll wait and see.’

Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that Fury is in negotiations to fight the winner of the clash between Anthony Joshua and Usyk in Saudi Arabia in December.

Then, after completing a dramatic U-turn over his boxing future by confirming he is ‘100 percent going to fight again’, Fury said: ‘What you’ve gotta do is go and get half a billi, and then the Gypsy King will come out and solve all his problems for him [Usyk].’

Fury also announced plans to take on the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis in exhibition bouts, and is also eyeing a clash with former WWE star and Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

In an appearance on Good Morning Britain, where the Gypsy King was interviewed while sat on a throne at his home in Morecambe, Fury said: ‘This is not professional boxing, this is pure entertainment – Hollywood-style entertainment. That is all it is. Nothing more, nothing less.

‘The difference with the exhibition is you’re not there to win or lose – you’re there to enjoy it, have a good time and to put a show on for the fans.

‘You can fight old timers, famous people or whoever you want. So I am looking at fighting Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, even someone like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, that would be fantastic.

‘You never know who we could be fighting in one of these shows but that is what I am open to in the upcoming future.’
