West Ham fan Chris Knoll – better known as Knollsy – has been immortalised with a WWE-style action figure after fighting off AZ Alkmaar supporters last week.

The 58-year-old was made an overnight hero after he refused to allow hooded thugs to reach the seating areas where the partners and children of West Ham fans were seated during their Europa Conference League clash last week.

The father-of-four has been dubbed the ‘Angel of Alkmaar’ for his bravery and has earned legendary status amongst the club’s supporters.

Given his action hero-type heroics in the Netherlands, he has now been commemorated with his own action figure which is up for sale on eBay.

However, for anyone who is interested in buying the figure it won’t come cheap, as of the time of writing, the bidding has reached £370.

So far there have been 41 bids, and it’s expected there will be plenty more by the deadline of 5.05pm on Thursday, May 24.

The seller for the one-off item wrote in the description for the product: ‘Knollsy custom figure. I was inspired to make this custom-made and handpainted figure with unique matching packaging. It took approx 28hrs to complete and will look great on display. It is a complete one off.’

His action figure sees him wearing identical clothing to that he wore on the night he clashed with Alkmaar fans.

The figure has Knollsy shouting with clenched bloodied fists and a bruised face.

The packaging for the item has the West Ham badge, as well as pictures of Knollsy fighting off the Alkmaar fans and an aftermath shot from the night with bruising around his eyes.

Knollsy was given a heroes reception as he attended West Ham’s 3-1 victory over Leeds – just days after fighting off opposition supporters.

He received a standing ovation at the London Stadium, and also took pictures with fans at the ground as he was seen smiling and in good spirits despite heavy bruising around his eyes.

A video later went viral in which he looked emotional as scores of fans chanted ‘Knollsy is massive everywhere we go’ outside the Carpenters Arms pub – a short walk from the London Stadium.

It was revealed on Tuesday that he had been rewarded with a coveted ticket for his club’s first European final in 47 years.

He said he was nearly reduced to tears when he heard the news, which followed a request by Mail Sport to West Ham United.

‘I am at work and when I got the call today, I nearly cried. I am, so pleased, so happy. I am made up.’

He said a club official who he had met during West Ham’s match with AK Alkmaar in Holland last Thursday, called him personally.

‘She said she was sitting two rows behind me and saw what happened. She said I had been very courageous and that I deserved a ticket.

‘It’s ironic that she was the one who phoned me today. I remember joking with her earlier about whether she could get me a ticket if we got to the final.

‘I know how difficult it is to get a ticket. I am so happy at this.’

There had been an internet clamour for the club to thank him for his bravery and Mail Online had also contacted West Ham reporting the support the campaign had been receiving to get him to Prague for the June 7 Europa Conference League Final with Fiorentina.
