Wolves defender Dion Sanderson is having a medical at Birmingham City today ahead of completing a permanent transfer.
The 23-year old was on loan at St Andrews last year and will join for £2million plus add-ons.
He made 34 appearances for the Blues across all competitions and scored twice as they clung on to their Championship status.
Despite being a Wolves player since 2019, Sanderson has made just one senior appearance for the club, in the League Cup four years ago, after being sent out on loan five times.
Sheffield United and Sunderland, another club Sanderson spent time at on loan, were also interested in signing him but have been beaten in the race by Birmingham.

The 23-year-old played 31 games for the Blues on loan in the Championship last season
He is not the first defender to leave Molineux this season, after Conor Coady moved to Leicester for £7.5m after spending last season on loan at Everton.
Nathan Collins has also left for Brentford in a £23m deal, while further up the pitch Ruben Neves has joined Saudi club Al-Hilal for £47m.
Adama Traore is out of contract after spending last season on loan at Barcelona, and could be headed to Italy after AC Milan made contact with the winger.
Julen Lopetegui’s have clung on to Max Kilman so far amid £30m interest from Napoli, and could yet re-sign Matt Doherty for free after his Atletico Madrid deal ended.
The Republic of Ireland international spent a decade at Wolves and played over 300 games for the club across three divisions before leaving to join Tottenham in 2020.
Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has emerged as another target for Wolves, as the 24-year-old seeks regular football away from Anfield.
He is valued at around £20 million, and may be needed to replace Jose Sa, who is being chased by Nottingham Forest.
