Wolves target Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher amid Nottingham Forest interest in Jose Sa… with talented Reds substitute wanting more regular football

  • Wolves are keen on Liverpool substitute goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher
  • The club is seeking alternatives to Jose Sa should Notts Forest swoop for him
  • Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad want Fabinho and Sepp van den Berg joins Mainz on loan

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has emerged as a target for Wolves.

The Molineux club have interest from Nottingham Forest in Jose Sa and are exploring alternatives should they sell the Portuguese custodian.

Kelleher, 24, wants regular football but is valued around £20m.

While the Ireland international is acknowledged as a talented shot-stopper, opportunities are hard to come by when deputising for Alisson.

Klopp often keeps faith in him in cup competitions, and in 2022 Kelleher contributed strongly to Liverpool’s EFL Cup win, scoring the decisive penalty in their 11-10 shootout victory over Chelsea. However, he has only made 21 senior appearances.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are reportedly set to make a £40m bid for Fabinho

Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are reportedly set to make a £40m bid for Fabinho

Nottingham Forest no longer have Keylor Navas in their ranks and are still trying to secure Dean Henderson’s signature, so need more bodies between the sticks.

Liverpool anticipate an offer from Al Ittihad for Fabinho.

Al-Ittihad are reportedly set to make a £40m approach for the popular Brazilian midfielder, who has been at Anfield since 2018.

Meanwhile, defender Sepp van den Berg has joined Mainz on loan.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons out on loan, firstly at Preston and then at Schalke.
